About Sherman LaBarge
Paintings by Sherman LaBarge use a special technique of encasing paint within layers of polymer glazing. This process results in the paint suspended in a stunning, high-gloss painting that scintillates and shimmers with the captured light.
Bio
Attended the Museum School of Fine Art in Boston, MA for four years.
Opened a gallery in Conway, NH.
Attended Portland School of Art evenings for five years (now known as the Maine School of Art, Portland, Maine.)
Carved the world's largest Rocking Horse for the Town of Winchendon, MA, known as "Toy Town."
Have won many awards, including "Best in Show" over the years.
Was one of the first sign carvers to introduce sign carving in America.
Now introducing Jazz Painting to the world.
Work in the village of Fryeburg, Maine.
